Motiv Blue Coral Venom
The Motiv Blue Coral Venom is the first hybrid version of this seasoned mid-performance ball line. This version was designed to offer versatility as well as a benchmark reaction when facing fairly high friction conditions. This bowling ball offers more traction and a stronger and more continuous down-lane motion in oil than the Venom Recoil. The Coercion MFH Reactive cover found on this Venom Blue Coral bowling ball creates plenty of length through the front part of the lane, then reacts at the mid-lane with a smooth and controllable shift. The hybrid coverstock offers traction in the oil while maintaining control down lane. The Gear APG core is asymmetrical and has a low differential which enables the ball to strike the pins with less angle because of the more aggressive coverstock.

Gives the Shock a run for its money!
Given the massive popularity of not only the Venom Recoil, but the Venom line in general, I had really high hopes for this one. The Blue Coral Venom or BCV for short, has easily become a top 2 Venom of all time for me, with the Shock being the other of the two. I can't truly decide which one I like more as the Shock has truly stood the test of time, but the BCV is insanely close. Even though I find them both to be absolutely amazing, I do find they have differences which makes me comfortable taking both to league or a tournament. The Shock is a bit rounder for me (layout is 60x5x30) and definitely reads earlier, while the BCV (layout is 70x5x30) is a bit cleaner and very responsive downlane. The BCV is the perfect step up from the Fatal Venom if it's too clean, and a perfect step down from the Shock if it's too round or too early. If you have a need for a mid-level, quicker responding ball, or if you just really enjoy the Venom line in general, this is not one you want to skip out on!

Most backend Venom to date
Motiv is on one serious heater with the latest releases. Blue Coral Venom is straight fire out of the box, very similar to OG Shock but more of it. Compared to the Venom Recoil it is a bit cleaner with a more continuous shape. Definitely a must have if you are a fan of the venom line. I will be pulling this one first out of the bag at league and medium sport patterns. Super versatile ball that a player can stay in for the whole block. Motiv hybrid cover stocks are on point lately and this one is a sure-fire winner.

Blue Coral Venom Review
The Blue Coral Venom is the first hybrid asymmetric found in one of Motiv’s most popular lines the Venom line. The newest addition the Blue Coral Venom is very versatile and gives a great benchmark reaction for higher friction surfaces. Compared to the other asymmetric Venom the Venom Recoil, the Blue Coral Venom gives a stronger and more continuous down lane motion. It’s a tad less than our popular benchmark piece the Pride but is better on higher friction than the Pride.

Question:
What is the difference between Fatal and this one? I'm looking for a transition ball to compliment my Ghost
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Coral will start reading a little earlier on the lane than the Fatal Venom. The Coral will be more similar to the reaction of your Ghost but will work better in medium to lighter oil.

Question:
I am a beginner (stoker) with little revolutions and 17 ball speed. Mainly light to medium oil lanes. Which would be better for me the Blue Coral or the Fatal?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
If you are speed dominant then you may prefer the Blue Coral. The Fatal Venom would help someone who is rev dominant more by getting down the lane further before hooking.

Question:
Stuck between the motiv pride and the coral venom I’m a tweener with mid to high rev and mid ball speed (13-14mph) trying to figure out which would be a the better benchmark
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
I think the Pride would be slightly better benchmark type ball for Motiv. That is right in the middle of their scale and it is not too weak or not too strong but will be a great option to throw and get a good read of the lanes. That is not say the Coral Venom is not a great option too but I would lean to the Pride as a slightly better benchmark ball for Motivs lineup.

Question:
Currently use the Iron forge how would this compare?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This would be a little smoother reaction on the lanes but also more suited for medium to lighter oil while the Iron Forge gave you a little more length but was stronger on the backend and handled more medium to heavy oil.

Question:
I’m a straight up ten bowler with low revs, how does the BCV compare to the Astro physics I’m throwing now?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The BCV is a mid performance ball suited for medium to light oil conditions. The Astrophysix is high performance ball suited for medium to heavy oil conditions. The BCV also will read a little earlier on the lane giving it a slightly smoother hook while the Astrophysix gives a little more length and sharper backend.

Question:
HOW WILL THIS BALL COMPARE TO VENOM COBRA, I LIKE THE REACTION OF THE COBRA?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Coral Venom will have slightly strong coverstock and weight block to give it a slightly stronger hook potential. Also the out of box finish will help the Coral Venom read a little earlier and smoother on the lanes than the Cobra.

Question:
How would this compare against the reactive purple hammer?
Have an answer to this question?
Question:
My ball speed is low 8, and say I am a full roller would this ball be a good match. also I am a older female
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball is described to work in medium to lighter oil conditions. If you have a slower ball speed you may find this works best for medium oil or possibly even some heavy oil because it may try to read a little too strong in the midlane on lighter oil conditions. If you needed something more for lighter conditions you may consider the Hyper Venom with the polished finish and pearl coverstock to give you even better length.

Question:
Need a ball for fiction back end I’m more of a 13mph stoker I need a ball that doesn’t over react is this that ball
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Coral Venom could definitely be an option. As a stroker I would imagine you do not want the ball to read a lot in the midlane but hold for a little more backend hook. However, if the lanes have oil in the backend, your traditional pearl coverstock and/or polished ball will not work well for this. So a hybrid coverstock will still give you some decent length and the 4000 grit finish can help this to still create some friction on the backend if there is carry down or oil in the backend. This is also a mid performance ball so the hook potential is a little more tame so you should not get an overreaction. I think this could be a good option and may only require small tweaks to the finish to get you the perfect reaction.
