Great starter

Love my starter ball. New to game, so I bought a lightweight ball. It works fine, to help me learn the game.

Great starter ball, good price.

My first bowling ball, so not much to say yet. What do I know? The guy who owns the proshop, who drilled the fonger holes, assured me it's a good ball, rspecially for a beginner learning. Happy with my purchase (even though I'm sad about my game. Oooof! Is this bowling or golf?)

I love the Twist and the girls love the color. Blue/Pink/Snow

I had talked to the manager at the Pro Shop, and we had decided on the Brunswick Twist for my next bowling ball. I have bowled only 5 games (1 game one day and 4 games the next day) with it and have averaged 210. My bowling averages are 40 to 50 pins below that. I know the twist will work, so the only thing I have to work on now is the operator. I have only tried the Twist on dryer lanes. On Monday I will try it on lanes that have been freshly oiled and see how it works with me as the operator. I started back bowling in June after stopping bowling for 27 years.

Pros:

Looks Nice, Has Good Hook, Goes Straight

Cons:

Picks Up Oil

Best Uses:

Dry Lanes to Medium Conditions

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Really Good for the Price

I'm a two handed lefty and I have to say this ball has vastly improved my game. I bowl at a place that trends to have dry conditions, but on nights where they lanes have some oil on them the ball did really well considering they say it only works well in dry lanes. On drawback is that I picks up oil so I would recommend that you bring a towel or buy one because trust me you are gonna have to wipe this ball down in order to get the grip you want. Other than that I would totally recommend this ball because it really is a bang for your buck.

Color not what I expected, I was really disappointed

I was really disappointed that the ball I got was WAY more swirled in color than the ball pictured. I really wanted the ball in the picture. I'm sure it will grow on me, I'm not returning it because it was the only ball where I really liked the color combination. I wish they'd post a different picture though.

Question:

What bowling ball do you recommend for a beginning bowler (girl)who will be 11 next September

12/11/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is actually a great starter ball for someone who may be looking to up their game from using a house ball. This ball does have features to help give it some hook potential but if you throw the ball straight it will still go straight. If you spin the ball it may read that spin and give you some hook.

Question:

what ball would you recommend for someone with low revs bowling on light to dry lanes , i have a spare ball that i can make hook from the right side to pocket but it has no carry threw ,i have several ball that hook i use the power bliz solid but i take off my revs and let the ball do the work any suggestions?

3/1/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This Brunswick Twist would be one of the least hooking options from a reactive coverstock. It is designed to go long on the lane and then hook on the backend. If you were getting too much hook on a Blitz ball and you were getting enough hook on your spare ball but it was not carrying well then you could also check something like a Storm Mix which has a urethane cover which will carry better than a plastic ball but it does not give you much hook as the Blitz or the Twist.

Question:

Will this ball hook allot on dry conditions

3/5/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball will have a decent amount of hook on drier conditions. It can work in light oil conditions so it would be stronger in drier conditions but this ball is not going to have a high hook potential compared to some of the other performance bowling balls.

If we offer a drilling option you may click the "?" beside the drilling option to get a size chart to see the sizes we offer. If you do not want to do our drilling or would rather have it drilled locally you may decline our extra drilling option and the ball would ship without holes.
